Course Roster STAR Graphs:
Cluster Scores
Most districts that purchase the cluster reports
will also purchase the scale score reports. The benefit of the
cluster reports is that they allow your staff to dig deeper in
understanding the effect of its curriculum.
Below is an example of a CST report for an Algebra I teacher. You
can also view
this image as a PDF file with a description of the different elements of
the graph.

With these reports teachers will be able to see at a quick
glance:
- The percentage of questions their students got correct on each STAR test by course.
- The average percent correct in their course.
- The average percent correct in the district for that same course.
- The average percent correct statewide in that cluster.
- The number of students tested in their course.
Teacher benefits include:
- Quick feedback on their student performance in an easy-to-understand format.
- The ability to compare performance across course types easily, as it is relevant.
Administrator benefits include:
- The ability to compare program effectiveness. As an example, one district piloted a program in the course of a specific teacher and used these data to track the progress of her students.
- Assistance in helping teachers understand the performance of their students. These graphs can be used in teacher working groups as they discuss curriculum changes.
