STAR
Scale Score Roster-Tied Graphs

Our figure above of Mr. Hernandez's
English 11 CP course comes from our STAR Scale Score
reports. You can
also view this image as a PDF file
with
a description of the different elements of the
graph. Each report
has the following characteristics:
- Data is displayed in a histogram of current year California Standards Test (CST) data by course and by teacher.
- Teachers will only receive the CST subject relevant to their roster.
- For each teacher and course, each report will include: percent proficient and higher, percent basic, and percent basic and below. Each report will also include percentages for that same course districtwide (or schoolwide if one school is ordering).
- Reports will come in Microsoft Word documents for easy printing and in single image files to be distributed to teachers.
There may be thousands of figures in your order. The reports are organized by subject and teacher name. All figures are clearly labeled. The image files are Tiff files which are easily opened by your teachers and can be placed easily in your word processor, presentation, or other document. Districts may find these best distributed through district email or placed on the teacher's network account. The Word files for easy printing have the limitation of printing smaller versions of your figures. The individual images can be resized easily and printed on a full sheet of paper.
- Reports are mailed to you on CDs or DVDs.
Although we can email you your Word files as soon as we have generated them (but you need to request this specifically), we will send you a disc set for each site. Each disc will have data for your entire district, but site administrators will be able to find their own teachers. For big districts, you may receive multiple discs.
- A video description of this report will be available in 2009
In the summer of 2008 we will have a video specifically for this report in our video gallery. You can link to it from your own site so that your teachers will be able to find it easily and use it to understand their report.
